GM Headshot 2020_edited.jpg

For over 20 years, Greg Mayeda has been helping employees and employers navigate legal challenges in the workplace. He is passionate about empowering clients in the legal process. As an experienced litigator, Greg has helped his clients recover millions of dollars. He applies that same experience in advising businesses on how to prevent costly mistakes.

Greg's experience runs the gamut, from representing employees in class action discrimination lawsuits to providing strategic advice on difficult employment situations. He advises employees in the process of navigating Human Resources in cases of unfair disciplinary action and termination and negotiating better severance packages as well as employment agreements at the inception of employment. Greg has fought vigorously for employees needing reasonable accommodations for mental/physical disabilities and battling workplace sexual harassment. He also helps employees challenge overtime misclassifications, enabling them to recover unpaid wages.

Greg has special insight into the employer's perspective in approaching personnel matters. As North American General Counsel to an international company, Greg has been involved in workplace investigations, the performance improvement process, employee discipline, termination, and severance negotiations. He brings extensive experience and a keen understanding to every case, strategically analyzing all legal angles and ensuring that his clients receive incisive counsel.

Greg is a Bay Area native. He grew up in Oakland and graduated from University of California, Berkeley and Hastings College of the Law. He became interested in fighting discrimination at a young age after learning about how his father's immigrant Japanese parents lost their business while they were in the Internment Camps of World War II struggled to find gainful employment after the War.
